The aftermath of any kind of trauma can have a significant impact on one's life. Even when one makes it to safety and the trauma is over, the mind, body and brain can experience a storm of post-traumatic stress reactions.
Knowing and understanding the potential traumatic effects for oneself, friend, family member or person read about in the news, can bring about more compassion for self and others and create a place from which healing is always possible.
